| title: | The Skills Zone (Aggregated) - Wider Key Skills IOLAP1 |
| description: | The Skills Zone introduces learners to the Key Skill of Improving own learning and performance at Level 1 (SCQF 1-3). Learners find out about the processes involved in improving their own learning and performance by working through a story and taking the role of the lead character. As the learner works through the story they find out about the nature of possible evidence and when to collect it. Links to supporting knowledge topics are available at relevant points in the story. The topics provide the knowledge to help learners in confirming their targets, following their plan and in reviewing progress and achievements. Quiz me and Test me allows learners to identify gaps in their knowledge and skills and the identifies topics and parts of the story that learners can use to develop their knowledge and skills. My evidence helps learners identify evidence they may already have, where evidence has been collected and where there are gaps in their evidence. This Skills Zone package is mapped to the QCA Key Skills Unit, Improving own learning and performance, Level 1. |
| pedagogy description: | The Skills Zone package can be used by learners using a computer. The learner should be supported by a teacher, lecturer or trainer. The use of headphones by learners is strongly recommended as sound is an integral part of the package. |
